LNG Liquefaction Plant: Technology, Process, and Operations

Process Description

·LNG Equipment:

   Utilizes mixed refrigerant refrigeration and heavy hydrocarbon scrubbing processes. Purified natural gas enters the cold box and is cooled before being sent to the heavy hydrocarbon separator. The separated liquid phase is throttled and enters the middle of the scrubbing tower. Through distillation in the scrubbing tower, light natural gas is obtained at the top and sent to the main heat exchanger for further cooling. It is then cooled to a specific temperature and sent to a separation tank. The gas phase returns to the main heat exchanger for further cooling, liquefaction, and subcooling before being throttled and loaded into LNG tank trucks via loading arms. The liquid phase is returned to the top of the scrubbing tower via a circulation pump as reflux liquid. Light hydrocarbon components are obtained at the bottom of the scrubbing tower, throttled, and sent to the mixed hydrocarbon storage tank. A portion of the flash gas from the mixed hydrocarbon tank is used as fuel gas for the thermal oil, while the remainder returns to the inlet of the raw gas compressor.
