GreenFir Achieves Outstanding Results at Qingbaijiang District Welder Skills Competition in Chengdu Million-Worker Skills Contest

On September 4, 2025, the Qingbaijiang District Welder Skills Competition, part of the Chengdu Million-Worker Skills Contest, commenced grandly at Chengdu Tianxiang Environment Co., Ltd. To ensure the quality of the contest, a “Pre-Competition Warm-up” session was specially arranged. The day before the competition, over 50 participating welders arrived at the venue, participating in targeted pre-competition training while also completing a theoretical knowledge assessment. The assessment focused on core areas such as welding process principles, thermo-processing characteristics of metal materials, and safety regulations for aerial and specialized welding, testing both the contestants’ theoretical knowledge and laying a solid technical foundation for the following day’s practical competition. Judging by the lineup of participants, this event resembled a “grand parade” of regional skill prowess: contestants hailed not only from leading local enterprises in Qingbaijiang District but also included key technicians from surrounding industrial hubs like the Chengdu Economic Development Zone, Deyang Economic Development Zone, Meishan High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, and Ziyang Airport Economic Zone. Competing on the same stage, they engaged not only in a contest of skill but also in vital exchange and connection among regional industrial talents.

As a leading enterprise in the industry, GreenFir attached great importance to this competition, selecting experienced and highly skilled employees to participate. At the competition site, GreenFir’s contestants, clad in professional protective gear and wielding welding torches, displayed focused and determined expressions. During flat welding operations, they steadily controlled the travel speed and angle of the torch, allowing the weld pool to flow evenly along the joint, resulting in neat, aesthetically pleasing, and robust weld beads. The vertical welding segment posed a greater test of the contestants’ technical proficiency and physical endurance. Relying on solid foundational skills, they held their arms steady, kept the torch perpendicular to the workpiece, and utilized flexible wrist movements to form uniform welds from top to bottom. Each ripple of the weld was tightly bonded without the slightest flaw, fully demonstrating their profound understanding and precise control of the welding process. When faced with welding complex assemblies, the contestants further exhibited innovative thinking and adaptability. They carefully analyzed the material, structure, and welding requirements of the assemblies, flexibly adjusted welding parameters, and employed suitable welding sequences and methods to ensure optimal weld quality.

After hours of intense competition, the results were finally decided. Greenfir achieved remarkable success in this event, with the team securing second place in the group category through outstanding collective performance. This fully demonstrates the company's profound expertise in cultivating welding talent and preserving technical heritage. In individual awards, all five company contestants entered the top 15 rankings through their masterful skills and consistent performance, achieving outstanding results in this competition. This display underscores the GreenFir welding team's formidable strength as a “fully elite force.” These accomplishments not only represent high recognition of the contestants' individual efforts but also serve as compelling proof of GreenFir's long-term commitment to technological R&D and talent cultivation.

On September 15, a warm and celebratory atmosphere filled the GreenFir facility. General Chairman Li specially organized an award ceremony. Standing near the workshop entrance, he first extended his warm congratulations to the winning participants. “Your outstanding performance in the competition has not only earned you personal honor but has also brought credit to our company!” Chairman Li said sincerely. “Welding is a critical link in our equipment manufacturing.
